The launch of OMANG will be through a province by province phased approach and targeting the FET phase of Gr10 to 12 learners first so that proof of concept can be established and the overall impact to existing education infrastructure understood. The purpose of the pilot is also to demonstrate the commercial appeal and generate sponsorship and endorsement to enable widespread roll-out.
The Pilot will run in the Free State Province, in 81 of their under-privileged Schools (20,000 learners) across the province.
The Free State has been chosen due to their unique positioning of great matric results over the past few years coupled with the high percentage of their learner base being in public schools:

- The pilot will run for 3 years, during which support will be provided to the DoE as well as learners
- Schools selected are from quintile 1 – 3, i.e. the most challenged in terms of facilities and educator support to ensure maximum impact
The target is to reach 1 million learners over the next 5 years.
